We are Eric and Jane Robertson, we combine our skills to breathe new life into things that have been discarded by other people.
We work with objects that evoke nostalgia, and generally linger in the back of the cupboard or are under threat of being replaced or discarded because they have had their day.
Eric learnt his electrical skills as a boy – trained by his uncle he learned by making indicators for his push bike, a xylophone, and a transformer for his train set were just some of the fun projects which created the foundations for the knowledge he now applies to his steampunk style lighting made from salvage.
A fashion graduate and textile designer Jane works with colour and textiles, designing knitted accessories to complement Eric’s salvaged lighting pieces.
Drawing on experience gained from our previous knitwear company we aim to have a positive environmental impact by integrating ourselves into the circular economy of East Lothian by reusing and upcycling objects that have been diverted from landfill.
Our workshop studio is based in an industrial unit on Spott Road, Dunbar.
Visitors to the studio are welcome at any time, if you're making a special trip please message to make sure we are in.
Each product made by us is unique and unrepeatable with fresh ideas generated by the next find of unusual things. Our Facebook page, Pinterest boards and Instagram feed are the best places to see pictures of our latest creations.
